Patolli was played around Mesoamerica, our version is focused on the ancient Aztek version with a modern take using dice instead of 5 beans.
In the game you pick how many treasures all players will start with. We've included enough to have 12 treasures per player in 4 player game.
Starting token quantities (suggested)
4 player - 4 tokens
3 player - 5 tokens
2 player - 6 tokens
Goal is to run your tokens around the board or be the last player with treasure. In order to get token off the board, you must roll the exact number to get out.
Dice rolls (modified rules that match the concept of rolling beans)
1 - move that space or add a new token to the safe space.
2-4 - move that many spaces
5 - move that many spaces and roll again
6 - no movement and end your turn
Special spaces
Middle 4 spaces - Only area you can bump other players. The person who bumps the player off gets a treasure from the game
Triangle spaces - When you land here, give 1 treasure to the game
Circle spot - Landing on here allows you to roll again
If you can't move any tokens, you give 1 treasure to the game.
